Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah will continue to be committed in providing the best Islamic education and experience to the students, who would be equipped with a strong foundation in the understanding of Al-Quran, Sunnah, the mastery of Arabic language, as well as acquiring other knowledge and skills. PRINCIPAL

Ustazah Asyunifar is an alumnus of Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah. She holds a Bachelor degree in Arabic Language and Literature from IIUM, Malaysia. She is passionate in the Arabic Language studies and teaches the Arabic Language subject for the Diploma students. She was previously a debater in Arabic Language during her university years and with the experience she has gained, she is the advisor for the Arabic Debate Club in Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah. Ustazah Asyunifar has written and presented a paper on the use of Flipgrid application in amplifying students’s voice during Arabic lessons.

Us Siti Khadijah Bte Abidin

Ustazah Siti Khadijah is a dedicated educator who has been teaching for almost 20 years. An alumnus of Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah, Ustazah Siti Khadijah is also a graduate from Al-Azhar As-Syarif University with the degree in Tafseer. Ustazah Siti Khadijah has a great passion in teaching the Arabic Syntax (Nahu) and Arabic Language for both primary and secondary levels. She heads the Arabic Choral Speaking Activity in the Madrasah.

Mdm Noorhayati Bte Sidek

Madam Noorhayati is an NIE trained teacher who had taught at a national school and two other Madrasahs before joining Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah in 2013. In 2018, she attended the Management and Leadership in Schools Programme. She believes that it is very important to give back to the community and that every community should be served well. Apart from school, she enjoys spending time with her family and going on nature walks.

Mdm Erna Bte Salamun

Before joining Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah in 2018, Madam Erna had taught Malay Language and Literature in mainstream secondary schools. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Malay Studies with Honours from University Malaya where she gained more exposure for her passion for Malay Literature. This is often shown in her fictional short stories and poems. She hopes to instill the love for Malay Literature in her students and which may eventually produce local writers in Singapore.

Us Nur Hayati Bte Jumali

Ustazah Nurhayati is a graduate from Fatah University, Tripoli, in Syariah and holds a Masters degree in Usul Fiqh from Islah University, Tripoli. She is a dedicated educator whose forte and passion is in teaching the Syariah subjects as well as the Quranic Studies in the secondary level. Ustazah Nurhayati also holds a sanad certification in the recitation of Hadith from Syria. She has written and presented a research paper on the use of Classkick Application in the teaching and learning of Al-Quran.

Ms Sofia Bte Jasmani

Ms Nur Sofia joined the teaching staff at Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah in 2014. Initially teaching Primary Mathematics and Science, she now teaches Secondary Mathematics & Physics. In the years she taught at Madrasah Alsagoff, she was given many Professional Development (PD) opportunities, including completing a Specialist Diploma in Applied Learning & Teaching and applying Lesson Study as part of the EMMS Department's PD.

Us Shahida Shaikh Salim

Ustazah Sahida Shaikh Salim is a dedicated teacher who is passionate in the Arabic Language. She is well-liked by the students for her personality and sense of humour. A head of Arabic and Revealed Knowledge Department, she holds a Bachelor degree majoring in Arabic Language and Literature, with a minor in Economics from IIUM.

Mdm Nur Khadijah Bte Shamshi

Mdm Nur Khadijah holds a BA (English with Psychology) from Singapore University of Social Sciences and Diploma in Education from the NTU-NIE. She has been an Education Officer with the Ministry of Education for 20 years, teaching in several national schools before joining Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah. Her brief stint at the Overseas Family School had widened her perspective on various educational landscapes. She loves cycling, enjoys watching cooking videos and whipping up home-cooked dishes for her family.

Ustazah Damawiyah is a very dedicated teacher who has been teaching for more than 25 years. A senior teacher who has showcased her ability in using technology in teaching, her firm disposition is respected and loved by all students. With her disciplined approach, many students have graduated under her teachings and guidance. Ustazah Damawiyah is a mentor teacher who teaches subjects such as Arabic Syntax (Nahu), Arabic Language and Quran for both secondary and diploma levels. Ustazah Damawiyah is an Al-Azhar As-Syarif University graduate.

Ustazah Saadiah is a mother figure of the Madrasah. She puts her students first in everything she plans for and has always been serving the Madrasah and her students with compassion and care for the past 26 years. She is an alumnus of Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah and holds a Bachelor degree in Islamic Studies from IAIN University, Indonesia. She is a passionate educator especially in the Arabic Language for lower primary. She has written and presented a research paper which focuses on the technique of teaching Arabic Language for young learners.

Ustazah Saripah holds a diploma in Islamic Studies (Preaching) and has been teaching for almost 30 years, at Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah since 1992. She likes to travel to enhance her knowledge while appreciating the wonders of Allah’s creations.

Us Saniah Bte Abdul Mutalib

Ustazah Saniah is a passionate and enthusiastic educator. Despite her seniority in the Madrasah, she is actively improvising her lessons so that it is vibrant and current to the 21st Century education framework. She has served the madrasah for 27 years. Ustazah Saniah is a graduate from Al-Azhar As-Syarif University and is a dedicated educator specializing in the revealed knowledge subjects, especially Fiqh.

Us Zauwiah Bte Abidin

Ust Zauwiah is an alumnus of Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah. She graduated with a Bachelor degree in Islamic Studies from Al-Azhar University. However, due to her deep interest in teaching Arabic language, she pursued her postgraduate studies--with the school’s support--in Philosophy, at the Faculty of Islamic Civilisation and has made academic presentations twice. Also, she has created the Arabic Curriculum and re-arranged the Arabic books for the Primary Levels.

Us Nurulhuda Bte Asor

Ustazah Nurulhuda, an alumnus of Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah is firm but yet an approachable teacher who makes the extra effort to help the students grow. Currently she is in charge of the Arabic Debate Club. She loves her students and never fails to help those students who are in need of extra support. She holds a Bachelor degree in Syariah from UIA, and is currently doing her masters.

Us Seri Nur Rahil Bte Abdul Raib

Ustazah Seri is an active educator and public speaker. She contributes to the society as a volunteer helping youths at risk, giving free classes and actively taking part in organising events for the Muslim community. Ustazah Seri is a graduate from Al-Azhar As-Syarif University with a Bachelor degree in Usuluddin and has attended several dowra in Darul Zahra, Hadramaut, Yemen. Having been exposed to the Darul Zahra Hadramaut’s environment, she heads the qasidah club in the Madrasah and therefore a passionate educator, especially in the Sirah Nabawiyah subjects.

Ustazah Saidah Nafisah is an alumnus of Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah. She is a passionate teacher who loves to engage the students by using qasidah or nasheed in her lessons. These songs or nasheed are composed from the contents of the subjects that she taught to make memorisation and learning more fun. Ustazah Saidah graduated from IIUM University with a degree in Arabic Language and Literature. She teaches Arabic Language as well as revealed knowledge subjects at the primary level.

Ustazah Syafiqah is a passionate educator with strong interest in the development and wellbeing of her students. She believes in instilling strong principles while being adaptable in this unpredictable age. Ustazah Syafiqah graduated from al-Azhar university with a bachelor degree in Usuluddin. She also took a diploma in Child psychology and early interventions and is currently serving in the school as the ARK Curriculum Developer.

Us Sharifah Radiah Mohammed Hashim

Ustazah Sharifah Radiah Binte Mohammed Hashim holds a BA in Islamic Jurisprudence from Al-Azhar University. Ustazah Sharifah Radiah has 12 years of teaching experience before joining Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah. She enjoys reading, nature walks and playing netball during her leisure time.

Mdm Balkis is a trained MOE teacher with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language & Literature. She has taught primary level English Language, Mathematics and Social Studies in National Schools. She joined Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah in 2005. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching dramas and spending quiet quality time with her family and friends.

Cikgu Aisyah has been teaching Malay Language and Malay Literature at Madrasah Alsagoff Al1Arabiah since 2014. As a creative writer who is comfortable with her pen name, Chempaka Aizim, she hopes that her contributions in both writing and teaching would be beneficial to the community and religion.

Mdm Shuhannah Bte Sajali

Madam Shuhannah has been teaching Science, Mathematics and English at Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah since 2016. She enjoys incorporating the use of technology in her classroom teaching as she believes that it aids in productivity and creativity. She has been given several opportunities to share her practices of using technology in her classroom teaching, one of which being the Apple Webinar on Creativity on 25 May 2021. The moments that she treasure the most are those spent with her family and her cats.

Secondary level Mathematics teacher

Madam Rubiyah Biamin has taught in several national schools over a period of twenty years and committed to part-time tutoring with major tuition centres at the same time. She is passionate in teaching Mathematics and is always looking for new strategies to teach the subject in an interesting and meaningful way to a wide spectrum of students. Apart from the Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National Institute of Education, she also holds a diploma in Islamic Studies from the International Islamic University Malaysia.

Miss Mawaddah has taught English Language and Mathematics at Primary level for 10 years before joining Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah in 2018. Her commitment as an educator stems from her love of learning and she is constantly fascinated by the development and growth of children. For leisure, she enjoys watching documentaries and travelling.

Mdm Siti Raudhah Bte Mazlan

Secondary level Biology and Chemistry teacher

Mdm Siti Raudhah holds a BSc (Chemistry & Biological Chemistry) from NTU. Before joining the Alsagoff family, Madam Siti Raudhah was an Editor with Marshall Cavendish Education Pte Ltd for primary and secondary science teaching and learning materials. She has had teaching stints in national and private schools, and has years of experience as a private tutor. Madam Siti Raudhah loves long bus rides and being close to nature.

Mdm Thasneem Banu

Mdm Thasneem is an avid reader who hopes to instill the love and passion for reading in her students through her teaching. She is a highly passionate teacher who finds joy in working and interacting with children and teenagers. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from NUS and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from NTU-NIE. She is a recipient of the Ministry of Education’s Teaching Award and has taught English Language and History at government schools.

Learning Support Teacher

Ms Farhaini joined Madrasah Alsagoff in 2023 as a Learning Support Teacher. She has years of experience as a private tutor and holds a BA in International Trade and Psychology and a Diploma in Psychotherapy. With the knowledge and skills gained through her experiences, she aims to enhance students' understanding and pique their interest in the lesson. She enjoys solving puzzles, travelling, and gazing at the sky.

Taught in Alsagoff from 1994-2000 and completed Sijil Pendidikan Islam as part of teacher training then. With an interior design and tutoring background, eager to integrate these skills to help others realise their potential. Strives to prioritise adab, healthy living and sustainability.

Bin Salim

Secondary and DPI level English Language, TOEFL and General Paper teacher

Mr Arzami holds an M.A. in English Studies (NUS) and a B.A. with a Diploma in Education (NTU). He started teaching English Language and Literature in 2001 at Yishun Secondary School and went on to teach at Innova Junior College, ACS (Independent) and a few other schools in MOE. He has lectured at the Republic Polytechnic, SUSS and NUS on various English language and communication modules. He is also a part-time Senior Specialist Tutor at DAS and is passionate in volunteer work, networking, and reading.

Mr Karl Zubin holds an Honours Degree in Malay Studies from University of Malaya. He received his Diploma in Education from the NTU-NIE. He has taught Malay Language for almost 20 years before joining Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah in 2021. In his spare time, he enjoys reading Malay History and Culture. As a teacher, he looks forward to applying different pedagogical approaches in classroom teaching and learning which will have an impact in the students’ preparation for the future.
