Turkiye Trip (January 2023)

On the 3rd of January 2023, after a long postponement of 2 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the diploma students of Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah resumed its international learning Journey programme and embarked on a trip to Turkiye.

The trip was aimed to deepen students' knowledge about the Muslim Civilization in Turkiye and to broaden their perspectives on the integration of Islam in a secular state.

The 10 days trip was filled with meaningful and fun activities as the students immersed themselves in acquiring new knowledge about the spread of Islam in the region.

The highlights of the visit are the community work that the students conducted with the orphans at the Syrian Elite School Al-Nokhba, Istanbul and visits to universities. The community work has left an important reminder for the students on the importance of gratitude in life as they observed that even the smallest of things were responded with enthusiasm and appreciation by the orphans.

The intellectual immersion was provided by the visits to a few universities like Ibn Haldun University and Fatih Sultan Mehmet University. Students were enlightened about the modern challenges faced by Muslim students today and the visits have forged new relationships ensuring future collaborations that may benefit all parties.

Throughout the journey, we were blessed with good weather, though it was a cool winter, and a safe travel.

We like to take this opportunity to pray to Allah to ease the affairs of our fellow Muslims in Turkiye and Syria who are facing the aftermath of the recent earthquake which shook their lives and iman, on the 6th of February 2023. May the people of Turkiye and Syria remain strong and rise from the disaster, stronger in spirit and redha on the losses faced, Insyaallah.
