Debating itself is not easy but debating in Arabic is an added challenge. Therefore it was a great experience for the secondary students to learn this important skill in a workshop conducted by Ustaz Redha and Ustazah Seri on the 14th of July. This workshop included an introduction to the Arabic debate by working on one of the topics, “I.O.S is better than Android”, followed by a presentation which explained in a detailed manner, its content. A mini debate by the students ensued, before the workshop ended. The opening debate was discussed by the two coaches alongside our Arabic debate team who are going to travel to Qatar in September for the finals. The presentation helped the students to understand the concept of Arabic debate with the help of Ustaz Redha’s enthusiastic guidance and Ustazah Seri’s motivating speech.
في ورشة المناظرة التي أقيمت في شهر يوليو، تعلمت الطالبات من المرحلة الثانوية مهارة المناظرة باللغة العربية. كانت هذه تجربة رائعة لهن لأن المناظرة ليست سهلة ولكنها مهمة. بدأت الورشة بمقدمة عن المناظرة وشرح تفصيلي عنها من الأستاذ رضا والأستاذة سيري. وهذه الورشة تعلمت الطالبات عن كيفيات آداء المناظرة. ثم قامت الطالبات بإجراء مناظرة صغيرة بينهن قبل انتهاء الورشة.
