Contribute to knowledge, Contribute to our future
At the Secondary levels, we continue to uphold the vision of the founder of the school, Syed Mohamed bin Ahmad Alsagoff and stress on the importance of having a strong command of the Arabic and English Languages.
We prepare our students to be effectively trilingual - English Language, Arabic Language and Malay Language. We believe that having a strong spoken and written command of these three languages will give our students better opportunities to engage with the global audience.
Similarly, we also place importance in the teaching of Mathematics and Science as they are important fields of acquired knowledge.
Our Secondary 1 to Secondary 4 curriculum is in accordance with or may be adapted from the latest syllabus set by the Ministry of Education, Singapore.
By the end of Secondary Four, our students will sit for their O-Level examinations. At the minimum, they will be offered five O-Level subjects comprising four core subjects and one elective subject. The core subjects are English Language, Malay Language, Arabic Language and Islamic Religious Knowledge (IRK), while the elective subjects are Malay Literature (Sastera Melayu), Combined Science (Phy/Chem), Combined Science (Chem/Bio) and Elementary Mathematics. Students may be offered one, two or three elective subjects based on their results in Secondary Three.
For the Secondary levels, the Learning Journeys bring students to organisations where they learn about current issues impacting Singapore such as Singapore's Sustainable Development goals of food security, energy and water.

Stress Management Health & Nutrition (ARK Inclusive Framework) Infusion of Grow's Programme & E-Teens Programme (ARK Inclusive Framework) Infusion of Restorative Practices & Positive Education |
In 2022, we embarked on a transformative journey by integrating Restorative Practices into our madrasah, fostering a culture of empathy, responsibility, and mutual respect. Building on this foundation, we are now embracing Positive Education, which blends the best of academic learning with well-being and character development.
Our Positive Education journey begins with Positive Relationships in 2024, emphasizing the importance of strong, supportive connections among students, teachers, and the community. In 2025, we will introduce Positive Emotions, helping students develop resilience, gratitude, and a growth mindset to navigate challenges with confidence and optimism.
In a madrasah setting, education goes beyond academic excellence; it nurtures moral character, emotional well-being, and a strong sense of purpose. Positive Education is particularly important for girls as it :
✅ Builds Confidence & Leadership - Encouraging self-awareness, self-expression, and leadership skills, empowering them to contribute meaningfully to society.
✅ Strengthens Emotional Resilience - Equipping students with coping strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and societal pressures while staying rooted in faith.
✅ Enhances Relationships & Social Skills - Fostering a sense of sisterhood, respect, and collaboration in both academic and personal settings.
✅ Supports Holistic Well-being - Integrating Islamic values with positive psychology to cultivate a balanced, fulfilling life.
By embedding Positive Education into our madrasah, we are preparing our students not just for academic success, but for a future where they thrive as confident, compassionate, and resilient individuals.
We wish to help students to flourish through these five domains:
Positive Relationships - We believe in helping our students to develop social and emotional skills that strengthen their positive relationships with their peers and teachers, and emphasise the importance of connectedness and strong relationships for their well-being.
Positive Emotions - Through a culture of care in the school, we seek to engender positive emotions of well-being such as gratitude, hope and joy. We believe this will build up students' resilience and character strengths.
Positive Engagement - We believe in helping our students to develop social and emotional skills that strengthen their positive relationships with their peers and teachers, and emphasise the importance of connectedness and strong relationships for their well-being.
Positive Accomplishment - We believe in helping our students to develop social and emotional skills that strengthen their positive relationships with their peers and teachers, and emphasise the importance of connectedness and strong relationships for their well-being.
Positive Meaning - We believe in helping our students to develop social and emotional skills that strengthen their positive relationships with their peers and teachers, and emphasise the importance of connectedness and strong relationships for their well-being.
A group of Junior Leaders ranging from Primary 4 to Primary 6 students are selected to join the student leadership team. A 4-hour day camp is conducted, aiming to develop them into creative and innovative leaders with empathy and humility skills.
Our Student Councillors (SC) form the Student Council body and act as student body representatives.
They undergo leadership training to:
clarify roles and responsibilities in providing support to the student body, teachers and school
understand the school rules and practise the school values
infuse a sense service to the student body, teachers and the school
build team spirit and develop school pride among SCs and student body
develop good relationship with the student body
identify leadership styles
establish key performance indicator for student leaders
Our CCA activities are chosen to ensure that each student from Primary 5 to DPI 2 has a balanced range of experiential learning experiences throughout their education journey in our school. They will experience varied insights through sports and home economics which we believe will prepare them for their future.
Being involved in CCA activities is important because it promotes friendships among students from diverse backgrounds as they learn, play and grow together with strong, healthy bodies and minds. Participation in CCA also fosters social integration and deepens students' sense of belonging, commitment and sense of responsibility so they will become confident leaders capable of serving the community, country and religion.
